Could you please tell our readers a little about your background, about yourself, and explain how you started your businesses?

Sure. My background is in Digital Marketing and Public Relations. I’m a second-generation Public Relations Specialist, learning from my mother who was a PR specialist before me.

I started my first business when I was nine, and have been going ever since.

My first official company was a Digital Marketing and Public Relations Firm. Since then, I have launched two additional Digital Marketing and Public Relations firms, with ElysianDigital being a broader firm able to take on many different industries/verticals, and ElysianMed specializing in Healthcare exclusively.

ElysianMed has seen become an incredible success, where did the idea to start ElysianMed come from?

The idea to start ElysianMed came from working with various healthcare businesses over the past 18 years, and seeing the need for specialized services that specifically catered to the Healthcare industry.

Healthcare is incredibly competitive, and you have to really think outside the box when it comes to how you can make a practice or doctor stand out.

That’s why I created ElysianMed, and the “Practice Growth Engines” that we have become known for. Our Growth Engines are specifically tailored for the Healthcare industry, and its unique requirements. As such, we are able to provide already proven “Growth Engines” for our clients based on real data and past experience.

For example, instead of saying “sure, we can run some Facebook ads for you, and we’ll just see what results we can get over the next 3-months”, we are instead able to tell our clients, “Facebook ads? No problem … we have dozens (or hundreds) of ads we’ve already tested in your specific practice area … as well as fully optimized landing pages that we’ve tested specifically for conversions with your specific patient demographic … and as such, we can start your campaign with already proven to convert offers, landing pages, and follow up systems.”

Thanks to this approach, we are able to maximize the Return On Investment (ROI) for our clients from the very moment we begin.

Why do you think Public Relations is such a critical tool for Healthcare businesses to use in their growth planning?

I think Public Relations, when done correctly, is the single most important tool a Healthcare provider will ever utilize in the growth of their practice.

Public Relations allows us to position a Doctor or practice as the go-to experts in their field. We do this through the use of storytelling, education, authority building, and creating genuine connections and trust with potential patients; before those patients ever walk through the door.

You can have the largest ad budget in the world, but if your ideal patients don’t know, like, and trust you … you’re just throwing money down the drain. That’s where Public Relations comes into play, and where its true power really shines.

A strategic PR campaign is a fantastic way for healthcare providers and businesses to really stand out. Most practices will spend a huge amount of money on Digital Advertising … and very little, if anything, on Public Relations campaigns.

So, if every doctor is trying to get the same patients, in the same area, with the same Facebook or Google ads … what makes one practice’s ads any different than the other 20 practices doing the exact same thing?

Well, if you’re the only doctor who’s been featured in industry magazines, or appeared on the local morning news show, or given a TedxTalk … you can now establish yourself as the expert in your field, for your specific service area.

Patients are far more likely to want to book an appointment with an expert, than someone they’ve never heard of before.

One of my favorite quotes that perfectly describes the necessity for a strong PR campaign to be a part of any business’s growth strategy, is by Bill Gates.

He said, “If I was down to my last dollar, I’d spend it on PR.”

What makes ElysianMed different than your competitors?

Our ingenuity and belief in “Quality Over Quantity”.

We are always focused on improving our systems, and on developing new methods, strategies, or technology of our own.

We are also very exclusive, and that’s by design. Our “Practice Growth Engines” are extremely complex, and require an enormous attention to detail. I’m a firm believer in growing and growing quickly … but not at the cost of the quality of our work.

So, I decided from the start, to only allow ElysianMed to take on new clients at a rate that would not impair the quality of our deliverables, or jeopardize our relationships and reputation with our clients.

No amount of money can buy back a ruined reputation or broken trust.

What excites you most about the Healthcare marketing sector, and where do you see it heading in the near future?

I’d have to say what excites me the most about it, is that it’s always changing.

There are never any feelings of “stagnation”, because nearly every day I wake up and something has changed, or some new technology has been developed.

So, I am always having to stay on my toes, and always get to learn or develop something new.

As to where I see it heading in the near future, I think we’re going to see a huge surge in virtual or telemedicine. I think that practices that jump on that opportunity now … and begin marketing it before anyone else … will see explosive growth in the next few years.

ElysianMed is known for its exclusivity; so how would a Healthcare business that really wants to work with you, reach out?

Yes, as I mentioned earlier, ElysianMed was built on exclusivity by design. Our practice growth engines are extremely powerful, and unfortunately, several of our clients grew way, way, too quickly for them to handle.

While that may sound like a good thing, in theory, the reality was quite the opposite. That level and speed of growth caused a lot of issues when it came to staffing, location, management, patient satisfaction, and the doctor’s own stress.

It also meant that, although we had done our job extremely well, they had to terminate the contract because they just couldn’t keep up with the new business we had generated.

As you can imagine, being told “hey, we need to cancel because you did too well, and we literally cannot handle this.” … was not great.

Setting up, launching, and managing a Practice Growth Engine, requires a huge amount of time and resources on our part. So, I decided from then on, that we would work with clients by application only.

This way we would be able to vet the client thoroughly and make sure they were actually ready for growth.

We turn away roughly 70-80% of the applications we receive, because we can tell pretty quickly if we will do more harm than good, should that business not be able to handle the growth.

The businesses we do take on, are then constantly monitored, and we make sure that they are well informed of what to expect, and properly prepared for when we turn their Practice Growth Engine on.

Where do you see ElysianMed in the next five years?

In the next 5 years, I’d like to see ElysianMed move into the healthcare technology sector, further expand our current service offerings, and focus more heavily on Mergers and Acquisitions.

ElysianMed has helped its Healthcare clients achieve phenomenal growth, at record speeds, thanks to its unique and powerful “Practice Growth Engines”. To Learn More About Roman Alexander Wellington ElysianMed and Their Practice Growth Engines, Readers Can Visit Their Website At:
