These Americans will receive their Social Security pay of $4,873 on April 10
Within Social Security benefits there are two main checks that the Administration sends to households in the United States. The first of these checks to leave the offices is the Supplemental Security Income. The other payment is the retirement check for the different groups of beneficiaries.
This second check is the one that will arrive on April 10th, but it will only go to a specific group of United States citizens. Not all Social Security beneficiaries are eligible for the check of up to $4,873 on April 10th, 2024. Will you get this benefit?
Requirements for the April 10th Social Security payment
In order to get this new check with a maximum payment of $4,873 on April 10th, we must meet two requirements. These requirements are mandatory and if we do not meet them the Social Security Administration will not send us any of these payments.
So pay attention to these two requirements. One of them is related to the year of retirement. The other is related to the date of birth of the retiree. In this regard, the specific requirements for April 10th Social Security are:
- To have been born between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- Be collecting retirement benefits as of May 1997.
Thus, it is not necessary to have a specific type of retirement. In other words, if our check is for Disability but we meet these two requirements, the Social Security Administration will still send us payment on the next April 10th.
Remaining Social Security payments in April 2024
In addition to this April 10th payment, the Administration will pay two different checks to United States retirees. It has also already sent the Supplemental Security Income payment on April 1st. It also paid checks to pre-1997 retirees on the 3rd of this month.
The next two payments will be on the 17th and 24th. The April 17th payment will be for post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month. On the other hand, the last payment in April will be on the 24th of the month and will only go to post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month.
To get the Social Security payment on the same day it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit. If we do not activate this collection option, the payment may arrive a little later. The maximum wait time is usually three days.
