No button pressing, Naidu to pay money directly!
YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy used to “press the button,” or click of the computer mouse, to release money into the accounts of beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.
Whenever he did it, the Jagan government used to release full page advertisements to the newspapers and big ads to the electronic and digital media, to get maximum publicity. Even for the periodical release of pensions, Jagan would get good publicity.
Now, it is the turn of Telugu Desam Party president and present chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to distribute money to the beneficiaries of the welfare schemes.
In the first step, Naidu will be distributing pensions among various sections of people, including old-aged people and the disabled.
But instead of “pressing the buttons” of the computer, Naidu has chosen to get the publicity by directly going into the people to distribute pensions.
On July 1, Naidu has decided to distribute pensions to the beneficiaries at their doorsteps at Penumaka village in Mangalagiri assembly constituency.
According to an official statement, the chief minister will also interact with the beneficiaries and other people as part of the Praja Vedika programme for the distribution of pensions.
The state government has already made the preparations to distribute pensions worth Rs 4,408 crore to 65,18,496 beneficiaries and as part of this programme.
While Naidu will personally attend this programme at Penumaka, MPs and MLA of the ruling party will also actively take part in the programme in various parts of the state.
Needless to say, there will be front page advertisements in newspapers and massive publicity in electronic and digital media.
When the chief minister himself distributes pensions to the beneficiaries, there will also be huge coverage of the programme by the media!
