Founder Prafull Billore, the English-speaking ‘MBA Chai Wala,’ initially set up his ‘Chai Wala’ stall near the Indian Institute of Management, IIM Ahmedabad, with a modest investment of Rs 8,000. Despite not clearing the CAT for IIM A, Prafull’s entrepreneurial spirit thrived. Today, MBA Chaiwala has franchises all over India. Recently he also bought Mercedes-Benz GLE.

Vartika Singh, operating under the banner ‘BTech Chaiwali,’ sells regular tea for Rs 10 and masala/lemon teas for Rs 20 each at her stall near Green Field in Faridabad. She hails from Bihar and came to Haryana’s Faridabad to pursue an engineering degree, Vartika chose not to wait for the completion of her four-year course, emphasising the importance of self-belief and hard work.
