All irregularities in the June 2024 Social Security benefit schedule
United States citizens who have a disability or other Social Security benefit should be aware of the irregularities in the June 2024 payment schedule. Throughout the United States, this payment schedule will have some changes that may alter beneficiaries’ plans.
For that reason, knowing the exact day of collection is critical. This is the only way to have as much control as possible over Social Security payments. Supplemental Security Income payments are also part of this equation and also have an irregularity in June.
In the event that you collect the two different checks, you should be aware that you may not get the payments on the usual days. For this reason, it is a good idea to check the payment schedule to find out exactly when you will have your Social Security check in your pocket.
Complete Social Security payment schedule for June 2024
In total, there are two different irregularities in the June 2024 payment schedule. These irregularities do not negatively affect Social Security beneficiaries, but they do affect the general level.
On the one hand, the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check does not arrive in June for many beneficiaries. This is because June 1st is a weekend. For this reason, the immediately preceding business day, May 31st, is the payment day for this benefit.
The other irregularity is the Social Security collection day for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month. This payment arrives on the third Wednesday of the month, but that day is a holiday in June 2024. Therefore, the payment arrives on June 18th, 2024.
Thus, all of the June collection days for Social Security checks are:
- May 31st. June Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment.
- June 3rd. Check for pre-May 1997 beneficiaries.
- June 12th. Post-May 1997 check retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th get payment on this day.
- June 18th. Post-May 1997 check retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th get payment on this day.
- June 26th. Post-May 1997 check retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st receive payment on this day.
As for the amount, it is good to keep in mind that everything will depend on our work history. Also, remember that these days are the days on which the Social Security Administration will send checks. Having them on the same day or not will depend on whether we have activated Direct Deposit as a collection method.
